Bonus: Settle Sweetness

« PreviousNext »
Simply a single, very real human voice (no reverb, no special effects)  helping find a cozy, safe space for when you wish to allow your body to rest and restore -- possibly even to sleep. I don't always find it easy to let go, release, float... and this whole episode is how I wish someone would talk to me, helping me transition. No ads, no loud sounds at the end. Depending on the player you're using, you may need to set it to only play this episode (Apple Podcasts, I'm looking at you for annoyingly automatically playing the next episode!) But otherwise, should be good... and the more often you hear it and let yourself use its cues to allow your body and mind and heart to soften, the more it will become a signal to let go.

At the end there are a series of thoughts that you can repeat to yourself, if you choose, or simply hear as I say, "You are loved.... You are safe...." and so on.

Let me know if it's useful; shall I do another one eventually?

What a sweet gift, Patricia, thank you! I can't imagine anything more comforting. At our last therapeutic musicians meeting, one of the women said her daughter called from college and asked her to sing the lullaby she used to sing when her daughter was little. She was stressed, studying for exams, and she said, "Mom, I can't go to sleep without you singing to me" -- which would have been sweeter if the call hadn't come at 2 in the morning!
Anyway, have a wonderful trip and think of all of our voices lifting you up, holding you, and delivering you safely to your destination. We will carry you in our hearts as you carry us in yours.

Oh, Resa, what a FABULOUS story... and still very, very sweet! Obviously, her mom needs to make a podcast episode! :) And thank you, thank you, for your lift for my travels -- deeply appreciated!

This recording, Patricia, paired with Patty’s tranquil water scene, was a gift.

Thank you, Cathy! I'm so glad... and I love the sense of stillness and calm in Patty's painting, too.
